Opponents of a similar level are arranged for you, and you can challenge the staff.

Visitors:
Open to all chess players. Tickets are bought online through Peatix for each session, and spots are limited.
Hours:
Thursday 17:00–22:00 (last entry 21:30) and Saturday and Sunday 12:00–17:00 (last entry 16:30), from February 2026. It may close on event days, so check the centre's calendar.

Casual games on tournament-style boards with clocks, with food and drink available.

No membership or registration is required. All levels are welcome, and English or Japanese is spoken.
Hours:
The 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month, 18:00–22:00, and you can come and go. The Meetup page lists an event on 7 October 2026.
Cost:
500 yen plus one drink.
